I've been planning on doing a BL conversion on one of my 1/8GT cars (either my IGT or the DM1-S) for some time but held off because the class participation was so sketchy. I didn't want to drop a bunch of coin into a car with no class to run. Now it seems like with all the BL converted cars and the new GTP2e there is renewed interest and participation so it's time to pull the trigger.

I just ordered up a pair of 4S Lipos, an RX8 2650Kv combo, and the parts I needed from the GTP2e to do the BL conversion on my DM1-S.
I saved about $100 going with the parts over the whole kit but it made sense for me for a couple reasons. The GTP2e kit is a bargain considering all that you get.
I don't know if I'll have it all done in time for this Sunday but maybe, if not I'll still run it Nitro. But I will be BL by the next race.

Don't worry Dan, I've STOPPED getting back on the wagon a long time ago. hahahaha.
Oh and for any of you wondering....the rear diff has grease in it. I still don't know what the front has, but so far it feels good. I switched to 2k in the rear for now. Too bad I can't duplicate Charlie's great traction in my cul-de-sac. Gonna need to be dialed to keep up with you "fast" guys.
I cannot wait for SUN. Gonna be sooo much fun.

Corona is once a month.
Corona will have an even bigger turn out for the GT8 if you go.
Corona will have the Ofna guys there to help with set up and support.
