Brushless v Brushed competion
My local club has been way behind the power curve. We are just now starting to get some members going brushless in our 1/10 pan-car oval class. The problem we have is that 4cell brushless (ROAR stock) pan car oval is faster than 4cell brushed. Lipo is faster than 4cell brushed. Lipo and 4cell brushless are close to even.
My thought is to try to even things out a bit as we go through the transition. First, we will establish that our next racing season (Fall through Spring) indoor carpet will be the last season of brushed.
Then perhaps, in the interest of driving skill v speed demons, one would allow brushed cars to use 5 cells. My thought is this might bring the different stock motor types into a competitive environment.
Any ideas about this? And yes, I know I misspelled competition.
