who's frank and what chassis is that designed for?
|
It's a 1/5 scale 535mm wheelbase GT body and was designed by Frank Killam.
|
Nice looking GT body! Looks very C6R...
Any chance of shooting a pic with the body off? I'd like to see what a 5th scaler looks like. |
Nice!!!
I guess we will have a great diversity of cars on Saturday for the GT race (Mustang, Corvette, BMW and Porsche). So if you get the car tomorrow, that gives you 1 day to paint it since you will be on the road by Friday. In reality, you actually have 1/2 day since you probably wont get the body until mid day Thursday. So, you better start getting all the spray cans and masking tape ready!!!!! :D |
corvette body
That is a nice body and since it from the productions of Frank Killiam, I am sure it handle like a dream. It a shame Brian is fast enough with the older not dated, no longer producted vett body, now he is going to be even faster with that body. I wish I could get a camaro 67-69 body for my 1/5 scale. the memories I had with my 69 camaro. Not to worried they all had to do with racing.
So we got Ford, Chey, BMW? and (my personal favorite) porsche all will be represented in the GT class for the series. Steve has a Nascar body not sure what company that one is from.....but he already has a mustang painted and ready to go, Demark needs a mustang (since he drives a pony car), and "Mr Gary' wants a mustang but Gary B wants a corvette. The point is the class is growing. and that's a good thing |
Just found a big box on my doorstep! This thing is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'll try to get pics up tomorrow, but I think I'll just save the surprise for Friday! See you at the track.

I wonder if this will fit on my SVM Columbia 535mm chassis considering my engine layout ...
