Default Appropriate tire selection on Short wheelbase car???

Guys,
I just got a short wheelbase FG car (Porsche GT@ body) and I have the offset wheels (deep dish wheels for the rear axle) and as you all know these wheels cannot be placed on the front axle, only the rear. i plan to race this car the coming season as my GT car. I know must of you guys race these cars in europe, So, my question is, since I cannot rotate the wheels/tires on this car, what tire compound would you recommend on the rear wheels??? I don't want to glue the wrong tires on the deep dish wheels. Also, the car's wheelbase is short, so I would assume the car is easier to turn, should I use a real soft compound in rear and harder comp in the front, to compensate for the wheelbase shortness??? I run in a low to mid traction, fine grade asphalt track.
Thanks
