Hi 1/8 IC Fan, thanks for the answer. I let a reply the same day, but something went wrong as I can't sse it.
No, I never drove a 1:8 IC nitro. In another hand since the early 90's I drove, at various levels including national championships, 1:8 nitro buggy, 1:10 nitro onroad (235mm and 200mm) and a bunch of electric categories. Let's see as I will know soon :

Headed down the finish line, radio and esc setup. Receiver will go in the receiver box.

Just curious, why are front wheels so castered outward?

Lol, the Toe, that is the way it was after installing the servo in the forward location, it was just for getting center setup, toe was readjusted after.

Previously we had the Servo in the rear location, which had correct Toe. But we had to make room for the big 4S battery, that carried into the Servo "Realestate".

Here it is now, we had to remachine some hub carriers, due to a decent accident. New foams are being turned down to replace the old test run items.

Hiya I/C Fan,

I'm 1/8th-pancar-curious. I noticed that almost all 1/8th pan cars have no suspension. This is compared to pro10 and 1/12th.

It's also strange that there is no way to adjust ride height.

Wouldn't a kit with pan car type suspension (rear pod) and ride height adjustment make for a better 1/8th pan car?

It'll be something I would seriously consider.

Been there/done that/ had fun!
Have a look at post #1196
I will be running it again this summer season. I hope to have some videos as well. The car is so hooked up and easy to drive. Now I see the need for a more efficient body as the current IC bodies have too much down force and drag. If I decide to produce a kit, I will definitely ask Dale Epp to come up with something that resembles their 235mm body for the 1/8th chassis.

Hiya YoDog,

I'm super inspired by your pan car!

I'm actually trying to build a similar concept car with 1/8th front end and a 235mm rear. I dont have access to a lathe or mill so making the rear hubs are a chore... I'm contemplating 3d print (cos I DO have a printer)

Do you need a thicker rear pod shaft? or will the 1/4inch axle on the 10th cars do the jobbie?

Thanks for letting me pick your brains.

Custom Capricorn C801E with 6S TTB driveset

Only fit your receiver and transponder and you are ready to drive the fastest 1/8 onroad available!.

The car was designed by me to have the weight as low and centralized as possible. Since Iím not really an 1/8 onroad driver I hardly used it and so now it has become available. Car is like new, it has seen around 3 days of testing.

Short video of the very first test, this was still with the fibreglass parts and me as a terrible 1/8 driver!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dwDdRAz1gk

-Unique, only 1 in the world exists
-Converted to 1.0 module gears for reliability
-Fully adjustable flex with different radio plates, and different stiffness
-Floating servo mounted to the chassis, Low-profile servo is included
-Weight without wheels 2350 grams

-TTB driveset and battery
-TTB programming cable and software
-Titanium screws throughout
-Spare pinion and spur gears
-Spare radiotrays
-Spare bearings
-New body shell with cooling
-Spare pulleys, screws, etc.
-Original fiberglass chassis, radio tray and battery also included
-Two sets of new Hotrace tires

If interested I can also supply the car with all the CAD-files with all the rights on the designs so you can make spare parts or update the design if you want to.

Ranging between 4-6 minutes depending on motorsettings.
If I max out the settings it can empty the battery within 4 minutes but the car basically becomes undriveable from the insane acceleration. It lifts the front end with every small bump or curb you hit.

Thank you for replying. I looked at your video and your car is very fast but handles quite well!! You would not want to run a car like yours on a unprepared track you have designed a electric race car that should be use for racing only not bashing. Wow!!
