Which Losi 5b electric conversion
There is a few out there. I’m looking to run a leopard v2 700kv with a Ztw beast pro on 12s.
the tlr kit I can’t find anywhere because it’s discontinued so I’m seeing what you guys like or have used. I like the tlr kit because of the staggered battery trays Any help will be great thanks albert |
That's a shame, I just had a look around and it seems it's finally completely discontinued.
I used it in my last 2 5iveB builds, much better than the RCmadness one I used in my first build, although the TLR wasn't around then I'm running the Max5 and Leopard 58113 870kv on 8S of course, which is plenty enough for the 5iveB as it's lighter enough, and she's pretty quick. 12S on the 5iveT for sure though Using the 15T pinion that comes with the kit, but I could easily gear it up to 16T, and 17T with a cooling fan, but I don't do cooling fans, that means you're running an inefficient high amp drawing system I'm using the MCD RR5 cab forward body as it has no holes, and is low profile. Also using an MCD wing as they look the goods compared to the stock wing, and the Extreme Racing centre diff top plate to complete the carbon fibre parts https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...3d0a0125f9.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...c16719a437.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...ef86f3c007.jpg |
Looks great how do you like one servo up there? I was going to use two up front. Where did you get the arms on that from the servo to the bellcrank?
i was planning on going crazy and using two spektrum 9120’s up front. But I can use one for the brake and one for the steering the torque is impressive on these servos |
Just found one on eBay and picked it up
|
They're the IRP 5iveT v1 links from DDM. I prefer a single servo with a push 'n pull setup, no need for 2 servo's imo, it's just more amp draw from the ESC, and a 70kg servo like the Hilantronics I use is more than enough. Plus 2x servos costs twice as much lol

what lipos do you use ? After seeing people raving about the Zeee Power lipos I thought I would try them. I'm using the 4S 6500mah 80c with xt150 connectors. They supply the power no problems and barely get warm. Very impressed. Nice and cheap on ebay https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...f4af524096.jpg |

Looking good mate. She's a very nice kit
Just one thing, and I see allot of people doing the same thing. The o-ring goes inside the top of the shock cap, then screw it on ;) |
