Serpent Viper 988e 1/8 electric onroad car
#16

The current populair pan cars are the 4wd types like the Buri, Corally XXS, ARC R8S etc

Definitely the IC cars are the class I am looking at, the XRAY RX8E.2 and Serpent 988e, thanks for the clarifications.
seems like the 977evo is the previous version and looks similar. I am wondering how the serpent and XRAY cars compared head to head....similar price for sure.

Serpent and I believe also ARC are the only ones with a true elctric layout, all others are conversions of the gas car.

Makes sense. After some serious research and Jamie helping me out with a bunch of questions..(thanks Jamie), I ordered a 988e. Looking forward to some fun!

Guys I was curious about the optional chassis for the 988e (and others), magnesium seems to be the latest but I am wondering how it stack up against carbon fiber chassis which are listed as an option as well.

Guys do you know if 1/8th road will eventually become popular, keen to give one of these a go - has anyone raced with Nitro to compare?

What are the good bodies to run on an e-car? Larger 1/8th track...

You can not go wrong with the latest bodies from Protoform the P909 or PFR 18 I would love to try the Blitz TS040E body as its made for 1:8 E

I prefer the P909 because you can get it in regular weight.
I ran the R15 regular too, but its hard to come by, ran it in both 4wd and 2wd pan Brushless.
