Default Electric Losi 5b questions

Mechanical brakes or not? It is a track racer not a basher and jus tseeing if the mechanical brakes are even needed. What opinions and experiences do people have. Running a HW max 5 on 8s
thanks

I don't have electric 5ive, but mechanical brakes are where its at. The 5ive b mechanical brakes are very nice.

Mechanical brakes are best. Braking these massive rigs through the ESC puts a lot of strain on the electronics. Far better for channel mixing some mechanical braking.

I actually like my ESC braking, much faster, more responsive, way better in air control, ive double back flipped my 5ive B. and lighter. never had an ESC isssue with ESC braking on any of my 1/5 electric, and ive had all 1/5 trucks converted to electric, except 5T and Fid Draggon hammer.

Are they the Proline Pro loc and MX43 wheels for the Xmaxx ?? if so are you using extended hubs, I have the Losi +7.5mm on my new brushless 5iveB and I'm using the 5iveT rims and tyres, but I don't they will have enough grip when I get it running
