Tuner Pipe Material Question

ive read about tuner pipes and stuff, but what is a good, cheep, simple material to use for my first tuner pipe?

would steel tubing/sheeting work? is it possible to weld it, or use that "jb" weld epoxy glue stuff?

any suggestions would be neetoe!!! :D
