I am curious about the pipe combinations for the .21? the pipe combo's listed are pco9382, 9383 and 9384.
The pco9382 has the 2033 which has been around for a while (and worked well on P7/8/9 evo2,3 motors) and is shown as a high rpm big track choice, while the 9383 has the 2120 which picco's website has listed as a more midrange pipe.

The 9384 combo has the 2116 which is not listed anywhere, is this a more low rpm pipe than the 2120 or does it fall somewhere between the 2033 and 2120?

I run mines around 220 to 230. Not all the temp guns read the same, so you kind of need to "know" your temp gun.

Also using the proper clutch setup is crucial for a good and consistent tune

Regarding the settings, the low end needle is flush with the housing (i do not recommend to screw it in all the way) for racing and breaking process.

The main needle is 4.5 turns out from the factory (rich setting) and a good race tune is around 2.75 turns out.

I will love to help you, unfortunately we are selling the motors since January and we only have the info for the 2015 version.

Regarding shimming you may resolve the issue by checking the squish band with a 1mm thick solder. If you run 16% Nitro you want to have a squish band of 0.45mm to 0.50mm If you run 25% Nitro the correct number should be 0.55mm to 0.60mm (any number in between is fine)

I am not sure if the carb is the same or not.
Hope this helps

After extensive tests, in different conditions, all with Picco Header and the same header, in order to avoid any doubt, here is the explanation of the pipes:
2033: The most bottom and mid, less top

2120: this pipe substitute the 2069. Is the most popular pipe (specially in Europe. Has a good balance of low mid and great top.

2116: this is a new pipe. It has a little more bottom and mid end than the 2120 with great top end. This is my favorite pipe for 1/8 On Road

2046: This pipe has the most torque of all. This is the best pipe for .21 GT motor.

One really important suggestion when you have a new pipe (any brand) is to clean it really well inside. Most of the times the polish compound that is used to make it look nice goes inside the pipe. If you don't clean it, this compound will go into the fuel tank, mix with the fuel and go thru your piston and sleeve wearing it out!!!!
Spray break cleaner or any solvent inside the pipe and then blow it with a compressor... If you don't have a compressor repeat the process of spraying several times.. Better be safe than sorry!!

thanks for the info on pipes, and especially the prep suggestion! I never would have thought to bother cleaning out a new pipe's interior!

if that new pipe shine reduces crud buildup then it's ok, but I still prefer the old flame coated pipes, they seemed much stronger. (dent free)

Hi Guys,

Please feel free to ask any questions about your Picco motor. I have being running them for several months already with great results.

BTW, we just got a fresh shipment of GT motors and we are fully stocked with all the products.

Enjoy your Picco Motor

This past Weekend we had excellent results at the Homestead R/C Summer Series. The Picco engines performed really well in all classes. In GT, it was a 1-2-3 with Montaner, Alonso and Wong. In Sedan was a 1-3 with Cabal and Gray and in 1/8 Giorgio took the win. Congrats guys

Hey Paolo,

I noticed you would be attending Timezone. I was wondering if you will have Picco products for sale on site....plugs, pipes etc..?
