You know why you could close your main needle?
It is known under the name "viscosity"..
Runnertime is a bit "thinner"....

Tornado is a very good fuel, also if your not running the sidney formula..
But always look for this trail of smoke from your exhaust....
Runnertime performs better, i'am getting the same performance but with a temperature which is about 5-10 C lower than when i was using Tornado.
Off course i could lean it further but it isn't necessary, and now my engines will last a bit longer.

With Tornado my engines always where completely clean on the inside, no discolouring from oil whatsoever. This tells me that Tornado lacks the amount of lubrication required.
So when i started to use the more expensive tuned engines people around me advised using Runnertime since it gives better protection. And now i've experienced it i will never run Tornado again.
And i am sure that the price difference will pay for it self after about 10 liters when my engine is still good and the bearings are still in good shape, and not ready to be binned like when i was using Tornado.

Almost everybody admits and knows that Runnertime is the best fuel but aren't ready to pay the price difference.

Tornado isn't a bad fuel but your engine does need afterrun treatments to prevent rust.
Thankyou, package arrived!! a

o, got the plug thing sorted out thanks above^^^ but back to the fuel,is the byrons 11 percent 25% a superior fuel? and how can you identify that you have the sydney formula tornado?runnertime fuel?never heard of it,is that available in the states, on fuel question ive run 1 gallon thr motor, just broke in..LOVIN MAXPOWER..wish i would of known sooner

Like Roelof said, Tornado is full synthetic oil based, and this oil burns completely, thats why there is no build up of garbage in your engine...
It got nothing to do with lack of lubrication...
I got bearings going up to 15 liter now, on Tornado....
But, just buy what ever you feel best with...

You can identify it by an orange sticker on top of the can...
Runnertime is also an European fuel, like Tornado, and because Tornado is expensive in the USA, you don't even want to know the price of Runnertime...

Don't worry about all these euro fuels. I'm sure they are great but Maxy, Byrons or others will do just as well, maybe even a bit better.

Now back to my question, anyone know what a Max 721 is based on?

I ran the Max XL7 this past weekend in Toledo at the Midwest Series/Can-Am race and WOW, for a 7 port engine I must say it isn't lacking much power at all! I didn't get a chance to run the infamous XL9 TQ, but I seen a couple of those engine run and super WOW. Chicky qualified 2nd behind Josh and Chicky's engines was every bit as fast as anybody's there. Monti Panzica, who have a bit of trouble also had a Max Power XL9 TQ and was very fast with his engine also. Looking forward to running the Max Power XL9 TQ at 301 Classic's race next month.

I have the xl9 tq, question on clutch setup, im running the 4 hole, older R clutch in my mrx4x, i have .4-.5 end play, yellow shoe, question is on the msr spring i am running .8mm, it seems i should run 1.0 or higher? any thoughts on this, it acts as if its rich on low end, but motors tuned fine, im thinking its engaging to early, and yes motor is FREAKY fast, best ive run yet!!Just trying to find better milage as she is very thirsty...thanx in advance

I checked there as well, not many people running 'the beast' i saw today 1.00 mm i will try, seems to me a little adjustment at this point might be perfect, altho if it needed to be around 1.5 would of been nice to hear so i can dig into other things that need fine tuning...NEW CARS..LOL
