The Novarossi N21-5T, now known as Brave is an affordable engine with an acceptable performance. In the hands of a good driver it is easy to outperform many clubracers.

Maybe it would be helpfull to mention what car/class ?

Nova flash pt/a if it's for a sedan, I know you can get them for $200 some places.
Keep on .12 is my favorite engine so far, but are a bit more money then the flash. For 21 I've been hearing a lot of good from the ison, but those OS engines are beasts.

Brooklyn hobbies had them for that price a little while back, could've been a sale or some kind of promotional thing, but that was the price.

35Plus21 has been discontinued. The ISON is pretty much the same engine. Desoto team won the recent ROAR nats race with the ISON in a 977 so it can't be a bad engine!

i agreed it is a good engine, but performance wise is below 35plus,and i just pay usd400 for 35plus with rear ceramic bearing.
Do Desoto team running with the stock engine?
What engine do the same level driver are using?

The Ison is more a kin to the Kangaroo or the Kappo.
It has a 14mm crank and a 7 port sleeve.
35 plus engines were 14.5mm crankshafts and 9 port sleeves

If your looking for a .12 I've just finished running in a new OS XZ-12 SPEC 3 engine. I couldn't believe how quickly it ran in and became stable compared to my usual novarossi's. I only got it as a backup backup engine as the price was right. It is incredibly powerful and linear in its power delivery. Sounds good too for the price I think it is a brilliant engine.

We used a box stock ISON 21 to win the 8th scale race at the Serpent Challenge in Port Jervis and the Nova Challenge in LA. Vincent Jackson finished second and nearly won the Byrons Challenge in Joliet. Great engine, $350 street price
