Default Novarossi 353 M3 engine carb help

So i picked up a nice used 2008 novarossi 353 Murnan modified enigne. Has good compression and i went thew the engine and everything checks out nothing needs replaced. I am having issues with the carb on the LSN only. I put a new glow plug in it the 6 and tried to run it and it wouldnt start and it was kicking fuel out of the carb. I leaned the LSN and retried and finally got it to run. So i started to tune the engine. I seemed to get it and the enigne has lots of power. But im kinda worried about the low speed needle. I had to almost close the LSN completly for it to run at all. The low end doesnt seem lean at all. it has plenty of punch on the low end and doesnt bog if you let it sit and idle for about 10 sec it just takes off. Has plenty of smoke on the low end also. Im wondering if there is something wrong with the seating of the LSN on the spray bar when at idle. Im wondering if i have to replace the spray bar and LSN or just try the LSN or have to get a complete carb to fix it. I have heard there was carb issues with there?

What do you all think.

I say if it runs good, run it.

How far is almost closed? Usually the lsn will be 1.25 to 2.25 turns out on that engine.

I used to have JP P3L that was a rocket! It was a fast some JP Eagles, but the only way it ran correctly was with the low end needle screwed all the way in, thread bottomed out. It also had some wierd cut on the crank.

I have 353 2009. My LSN is all the way in then screwed out 1/2 turn. The engine is designed that way. Plenty of smoke and kicking ass.

ok just making sure cuz my os xz is like maybe 3/4 turn beyond flush with the lsn. and the 353 M3 is like barried lol. It runs like a raped ape so fast. But has plenty of smoke on the bottom and top end and idles smooth. It take a little to warm the enigne up but once its warm it screams (low 60's for ambient temp outside) But once it warms it idles great and doesnt shut off or anything.

you mean actually pull the needle out of the carb and measure the needle from tip to screw tip?
