I don't trust figures given by the manufacturers themselves......
Also please test on the same dino, a "regular" engine then...

Come on guys! First you ask for specs, then you say you don't want the specs we provide?

All kidding aside, magazines will receive engines for testing so you will get unbiased opinions. And surely there are independent consumers with dyno capabilites that will post their results.

The first numbers will just be what we provide. But to really see the performance advantage, you must compare different engine's dyno charts. This is where the real advantage will be seen. There and on the track.

We wanted to release specs earlier, but we felt had to wait until the engine is actually being shipped to consumers. I am confident the wait will be worth it.

I didn't ask for specs......

but as you said, if the engine is as good and fast as claimed, it will be seen on the track.......

But how fast they are, I don't care, because I have to wait until the .21 size comes out........

That will mean we have to wait until XRC gets a test sample.

Then all dyno specs and opinions are useless. So you will just have to buy one and see for yourself

Thanks for everyone's patience. The guys at Team Orion Europe have concluded the first round of X-dyno tests and will post screen captures of the results/dyno chart in a new thread.

The box stock .12 REV with Team Orion pipe = 1.15 max hp

Nano, were you using the stock R40 gears or the LW? I'm judging LW because of the upper deck on the R40. What LW gears pinions did you use?

I am using the older type gearbox and gears because the new one do not allow gearing that is short enough.

Currently I run 15/47 and 19/43, so about 7.6 and 5.5 ratio.

Remember that you need a proper clucth setup too -> hard spring, the original one is way too soft. It seems that the stock RRR spring and Kyosho 1/8scale red spring are ok.

Then the harder the spring the better correct?

Rick,

Let me start off by saying that I picked up one of you new waps engines a few weeks ago and and am very pleased with its performance. I would go so far to say that it is the only rc motor I have owned that lives up to advertising.

Currently I am experiencing what I would consider a severe problem, I am hoping you can help me with. This past weekend my glow plug failed I am unable to locate a replacement. I had my LHS place the #6 & #7 plugs on back order through Great Planes & Horizon 3 weeks ago but they have not shown up and without one I can't race the motor.

Is there anywhere I can buy one now, and if not when will they be available.

Mark
