I'm pretty sure Sirio, Schepis Model, IDM, XRD, Werks were all made in those same four walls.
That's not the company, Lavorazioni Meccaniche is Italian for metal workshop. So there are hundreds of companies called Lavorazioni Meccaniche around Italy.

Dj Apolaro wins 1/8 scale Florida State Race # 5 on his first official race as XRD driver. Rino Lino TQs every round of sedan qualifiers and finishes second followed by Junior Castellanos in 3rd pulling 70 mph with his XRD .12 HT.
Amazing results for the XRD brand!!

Now that makes me feel silly!

So who's making the XRD engines?

It's clearly that the crankcase is the same as sirio nemesis-313gp,the latest IDM,the blackhead team orion etc.so they are produced from the same company.call it star-L.M-schepis or anything you want.i do not understand why it is so big deal.

Wing...do Piccos and Novas have the same taper?....I ran Mega Piccos in my 960 and thought the taper was a different angle than the Novas??

Don't feel silly :-)

These engines are a joint development between, Capricorn, Daniele Ielasi and Gino and Lorenzo Voghera (Sirio).

The engines are produce by LM, the same company who produces Sirio and Orion engines.
No myths here, just a lot of marketing babbling...

The XRD motors are just starting to hit the market. I can tell you that here in Florida which has the Novarossi Importer, Sonics importer, Picco Importer and now the XRD importer, we are getting to see first hand the power of these motors. I am running the XRD brand and this is the first weekend I got to run the motors for a race. I ran 1/8 scale only this weekend. I was able to qualify 2nd and take the win in the finals against Paolo which is always fast, especially at the Homestead track from the 2011 Worlds.

Amazing are the Sedan motors even more so. Rino has TQ'd every qualifier since running the XRD motors at the state races in homestead. For the last 2 races he has taken every round of qualifiers. He and Junior Castellanos are running the motors at the state races and have the fastest speeds compared to every motor company there. Rino has a top speed this last weekend of 68 MPH I think and Junior has the fastest of 70 MPH which many people are still talking about. These are both the Hard tuned versions. Yes I said 70 MPH for a sedan!!!!

We will be running the Winternats as well, so we will also get a chance to see the motors perform against some of the best in the world. I will be running Sedan at this event.

It's not quite identical but it is VERY close. Close enough to swap without issues. OS are the real oddballs.

We've just received the first batch of the XRD Range here in the UK at CPD Racing. More info to come soon as we build our stock levels, but first impressions are that the quality/performance is excellent !
