Default Just starting to get into competition

Hey guys,

I have a Savage SS and recently went to the track to check out an on-road race and now I'm hooked. I plan to get into competitions, and I don't really know much about classes and stuff.

Looking at the R40, I see that it's a rolling chassis. No engine. 1/10 scale, so I'm not sure what the rules are for this class. What's a decent engine between 150-200 that should keep me competitive?

That's all for now.

Thanks.

Novarossi/TOP TN12S1 with 1.35hp and it is $150 on ebay. Or you can buy its higher powered brother (5 port) TT12S51 for $190 on ebay.

What about the:

Team Infinity Katana 512TB

Does anyone know anything about this engine? I can pick one up locally for around $170

I was unable to locate a Novarossi for under 200. Maybe I am not looking for the right thing.

An STS motor would do you good for only 150.

You can try the Mega ZX-12 power package . Comes with engine and pipe. Lots of power thru the entire rev range.
