nitro % hotter or colder

I used to be under the impression that the less the nitro percentage the cooler the engine would run.. after seeing several threads of people stating both I'm not so sure anymore.., so I would like to hear which one it really is... and if you can please explain why...

the higher the content the cooler it will run . but make sure you adjust your plug heat range to match ..

I totally disagree with this. On average our ambient temp is around 5 - 13C. Even with 1:8th we always produced more power running 16% compared to those running 25%. The hotter it gets the more nitro you add.
