Default mid range & low speed needle sticking together

I have a hot bodies powerhouse .26 and was trying to set all needles back to factory settings then tune from there...
this is when I noticed that while closing the low speed needle, the mid range screw was turning as well...... I can see this happening if I had turned hard on the screws but I never did..

I used two screw drivers to start turning the needle back out as soon as the other caught.

I'm guessing somthing is screwed up becuase no other motors I've had did this..

any way to fix it?
I've got the motor running alright now and dont plan on resetting the needles, but what a pain .....

You should pull the carb open when doing this. Because the needles will come together inside the carb if not.

You might have damaged something. Take the filter off and do this so you can see whats going on and you can pull it forward enough to fully set the low speed / idle needle in.

Also check the needles.

thanks.. I dont think I damaged anything because it now runs great and will idle through a whole tank.

when I first noticed it happening I tried to see inside the carb as to what was going on but couldnt tell..

this motor was a pain to break in.. it now has about 1/2 gallon through it and is still very hard to turn over by hand.. hot or cold.

Well it might be something else thats why its good to verify. Another way to verify if thats the deal is pull the carb out and reset...and if it doesnt move anymore problem solved.
