Default what would make a good nitro drift engine?

I have an hpi nitro rs4 3evo with the stage D drift conversion and the old hpi/nova K.12 is tired so I'm looking to replace it. The guys at my lhs recommend the hpi nitro star t-15 but I was thinking more of along of the lines of the hpi t3.0 from the newer drift car they have, but is there anyone on here who does nitro drift and can give me some feedback?

Do you need an engine with slide or rotary carb? Don't think you need a whole lot of power.

Buy a nice reliable OS.

its set up with a rotary carb right now but its kinda a funky set up and wont open up all the way so im thinking of converting it to use a slide carb.
