The pic above is a newer engine. The Kyosho Team used the Sirio S12 EVO 2 WCR engine.

InitialD 04-14-2005 01:06 AM

Incidently, I tried to look up for the Sirio S12 EVO 2 WCR engine but it's no more there on their website...

I may be wrong but I think it was in the last two 1/10th scale French TC races held in France...

Looks very impressive. I currently have the Evo 2 and if the improvements are worth it, I could see adding one to my motor arsenal. Nova-type power and an almost OS Engine-type price, can't beat that!!!;)

nico747 04-14-2005 10:40 AM

Sirio EVO 3

In fact those photos have been taken during the first round of the Kyosho Cup in France and we saw this motor again during the 2 first French National Championship rounds...and the driver is Jean Claude BERRON a Sirio driver (Star Motor)

Grasshopperr 04-14-2005 10:55 AM

Well I sure do hope this engine is easier to toon than my evo 2 If not screw it I have had two DNS with that sirio because it dosen't ever run right.

either they discontinued the engine or it's a limited edition:rolleyes: but nevertheless they should post it in their website ;)

Grasshopperr 04-15-2005 05:58 AM

The WCR is a limited edition engine I think only 350 were sold.

Precisely. If it's limited edition or not, regardless, it should be available on their website. It is as if they did not want to acknowledge it existed...

Dynamite 04-15-2005 09:34 AM

mmm ;)

when can one get a hand onto one of these bad boys:D :D :D

Joe Chaplow 04-15-2005 03:22 PM

easily, by going to rc-mushroom.com

Grasshopperr 04-15-2005 03:37 PM

dude you must be thinking of the WCR. The WCR is still a evo 2 Just it is the world replica edition.

This week-end, the new Sirio EVO 3 took the first place in a local race with an impressive top end speed
The official release in France should be on the beginning of May...  and the aim of Star-Motor (Adrien Bertin) is to provide engines like the J-C Berron one....Hope it will be the reality. :weird: :weird:

Dynamite 04-19-2005 03:13 AM

havent been involved in nitro all that long... but whats the J-C Berron engine?

nico747 04-19-2005 10:19 AM

J-C Berron is a Star-Motor factory driver...and his motor is really fast...

buboy28 04-20-2005 02:38 AM

Racing4Evo 04-24-2005 02:47 PM

The Novarossi carb is still better although the Sirio still works and I haven't had any issues with connecting rods in my EVO 2.
