One more thing....... No body has actually clarified whether the jp is faster or the M Collari ??

There is a 100$ diff in both ? !!

Did some googling.. and found out that the JP pistons are rare !!!

Should go in for the M collari ??? can a M collari piston be replaced with a standard one ? ??

Any one has dynoed these 2 engines .........

Here in may track, my M.Collari hand modified is faster than the JP
on 20% Nitro.
Poistons and sleeves are replaced in sets, you don't replace just pistons. So what do you mean by standard piston.
If you replace the Collari P/S it is a matched set.
Now, you can repalce them with a Sirio P/S set, but then it will be a normal engine without mods, plus Collari's are AAC, Sirios are ABC.

Damn right, me and a friend bought these engines and we race with 16% and there are rubbish! honestley i was struggling to keep up with a non turbo o.s! We are not the only ones, recently at a national meeting i was speeking to another driver and he said they tried to send there engines back and get a refund! Mind you i dont realy understand why because the old purple top JP modifed Nova's used to screem on 16%

yeah I meant the whole set......

Well yeah the reason i asked this is that if there is no stock of the modded pistons / Sleeves then i could still run the engine with the stock sets...

have to think of all this when u dont have parts available readily !!

You have Collari and JP but no Max?? If you want speed these are the motors to get. It was the fastest motor (straight speed) at the IFMAR worlds in Brazil.

i was there in jundiai.....

and I think the sirios were faster........novamax simply screamed......but noise isn't speed......

when eduardo picco was measuring top speeds with his radar, piccomega and sirios engines were the fastest (the fastest I saw was a sirio....108km/h).....

ummm..here is an article...

http://www.tq-racing.com/news_report...MAR_finals.htm

Take a look at october 15...Max was the fastest, but hey I wasn't there.

What we can all take from it though is that all these motors are very similar brand new. At the end of the day it is only 2.1cc. Any of the top tuners have great engines. However most people are not team drivers and we need to see long term reliability as well.

Don't know Salvadori...maybe when we meet someday we could be buddys.....I just saw what Mike Myers reported on October 15 at the Worlds, and I agree with him.

..........As to top speed, all the better cars were reasonably equal. With a radar gun, Massimo Fantini was clocked at 103kph with a Max engine. Adrien Bertin was turning 100 to 101 kph. Josh Cyrul was getting up to 99kph. Most of "the fast guys" were in the range of 98 to 100, so engine power alone was not giving anyone a huge advantage. However, over the whole track, the Kyosho/Sirio cars were a step above the rest. They look the most stable, and seem the easiest to drive fast. As Jerry Cyrul put it, "The Kyosho is the only car that will allow the horsepower to be put down"..........
