i have tried a few pipe with the tz3 and tz5
the skyline, novarossi anfd mugen efra pipe

the mugen efra pipe seams to work best
maximum power and awesome fuel economy

I tried skyline V12, NovaRossi, ans OS 1040. As you can guess, 1040 is the best thru out the entire powerband. It is pricey, but it is designed for 12 TZ.

I am using the Yokomo pipe and it matches up very well with the .12tz. Unfortunately, I don't think the pipe is being produced anymore. With it, I get all the power from the low through the high ranges and it is very quiet as compared the Mugen or R/B pipe most use in my area.

How's the mileage on this engine compared to others? It makes good power, but I need to check out how's it lasting on a single tank. Anyone also running byrons 30% in this engine?

Get about 6.5, 7 minutes with the 3 port, small track lot of curves, 16% nitro.
Geared to have maximum torque.

Running engine on the rich side !

Same for me, just depends on who I get to pit for me LOL...

This motor is a little gem for price/performance... you cannot go past it.

Here is my track.

Definately thinking that engine should do nicely. I really do have the itch for the N12LL 3 port or Tim hots version, or that JP modified with discount.

I get about 5.5 to 8 minutes out of a tank depending on the size of track that I am running. And, that is on the rich side at around 185F degrees. I have stretched it at times to almost 10 minutes (and that is after some hard running). It is a good little engine in its non-modified form.

I do...just what I've seen with others running that and or the tim hots version tuning isn't a big problem. Most of them started up, lil tune to the new area and or weather and started running. I may give the TZ a whirl since the .12Tr is a bit slow.
