If I'm parking lot racing with my friends (these guys aren't running cheap motors either, i.e. Mugen XP12, NS3..etc)

Should I get 12TZ or 18TZ.....I know the 18TZ isn't race legal, but is it a lot faster on bottom and top end than the 12TZ?

Thanks.

I don't know if the 18 will fit in your car.

I think a .12 TZ would do just fine. If you're not bound by rules, then get the 5port version. It will give you plenty fun. May not blow your friends away like a .18 would (in terms of straight line speed) but would maintain the driveability of the car better...
Besides, winning based on an unfair advantage wouldn't be satisfying... or would it...?

the 18 tz is the best engine for the price as far as power - it's just plain fun, but plan on replacing lots of parts due to the extreme power....... but, the 12 rips also...

Thanks for all the inputs...so does anyone have a 5 port they want to sell?

Which LHS or online store has the lowest price on a 5 port?

Turbo heads do not use washers under the plugs. The taper of the plug will seat it properly in the head button. You're fine with what was supplied.

www.rc-toro.com is the cheapest place I found them. They shipped mine to me in 2 days, too. Perfect service and great prices on turbo plugs, too. Big thumbs up from me.

Exactly what Apex said, but also when a turbo motor heats up the glow plug will expand and seal the combustion chamber so there is no need for a washer.

I also got my TZ 5 ports from rc-toro.com. Great Services. Even better, they have the OS 1040 that I want. Highly recommending anyone who considers TZ to try out 1040.

Ok i have had my TZ 3port for about 2 months now and have about 1 gallon through it, my question is that the motor doesnt seem to have very much pinch left. The motor is still just as fast as the nova motors at my local track.
Is this about as much pinch as the motor should have at this point or is it some premature wear.
