I only run legal motors and pipes... Run what makes you happy... Remember, not everyone is using the same fuel, nitro content, gearing, plug type, chassis and there are many other factors that come into play with engine tuning, speed and overall performance... I never said to not use one pipe over another... I found what worked best for me which was the Yokomo Mielke pipe, others have found that the Skyline works best for them and so on... You can't judge a pipes performances by it's looks... You have to try it and see for yourself... I remember a Team Driver from Mugen here in SoCal tried the Mielke pipe on his Mugen motor and was surprised by it's performance gain... So much so that word spread and everyone was buying one... The right tune pipe can make a world of difference with engine performance, just like a motor cycle's exhaust pipe plays a big part in it's performance... I just happen to have to many pipes lying around, so I tried them to see what worked best for me and my TZ... I know I'm going on with this... For what it's worth... Run what ever makes you happy... As long as you win the race and you have the fastest motor on the track... That's what counts the most... Ron Atomics TZ was crazy fast and I'm sure his made over 1.4hp's... I can run mine against Sirio's, Rody's ect. and have no problems against them myself... So there are many factors that comes into play...

Well said Alan. Same here where everyone runs 5 port engines, 25% or 30% and outlaw pipes. There are many pipes in the market that look very similar to the Skyline (JPL, Epexi and etc) and I "suspect" them to be manufactured by the same manufacturer and hence my reluctance to purchase the VR12 since I have tried both the Epexi and JPL (and some friends too). Its not too bad a pipe, but I do give the edge to the Kyosho pipe (6mm or 7mm are both awesome). Now that the Zac Project and Charge CG711 pipe (again look similar to another skyline pipe!), I will compare it to the kyosho pipe with the TZ 5 port.

Cheers!

Hey. İt is also talked about pipes. What about air filters, is there any difference on the engine performance, and "best" one.

the new CVEC roar pipes are made in the US.....I've tried 3 pipes on my RB powered(3 port non turbo std engine....) r40....The RB pipe, the Dynamite touring pipe(not a bad pipe, belive it or not..for 40 bucks).....and the Rd logics turbo 2...Which I was not impressed with...and can't even take a tap in the side without bending the stinger....way overrated.........I tried the new CVEC..and I have to say was really impressed....the first time I actually tried something and could see and feel a diffrence in LOW end grunt and a very wide linear powerband....and its already taken a t bone shot that would have crippled any other pipe.. and walked away unscathed...

I think more importantly for an air filter, is its ability to filter out the dust and fine particles. I am using Top racing air filters and it does quite a good job. Stay away from GQ filters, the holes are a little too big and some racers here have scratched pistons as a result.

Im not so sure how legal that would be, im sure it is copyrighted, so unless they publish it for free online its not the best idea.
