Default Question about Nova Mega sx-15 ms

I recently purchased a used, but really nice condition Serpent Impact M2 2000, with a nova mega sx-15 turbo ms. It came with the instructions for the car but none for the engine. Does anyone know if there is something on the internet I can download or read about the needle settings? It doesn't look like the engine was ran at all, but I would like to know where the stock settings are supposed to be, just to be safe. Thanks in advance for any help! Tom

I think most of the Novas are 4 turns out from closed on the hsn and the lsn is even with the housing.

Thanks, but I would like a more definitive answer. Tom

VA is correct with the hs needle the ls should be one turn in from flush I still have a Nova Mega MS and it should be fine cause they will need to be adjusted anyway. The ls will be turned in more to give the punch you need you should be able to hear it wwhen u give it a hard blip

It is not wise to adjust the engine to a number of turns.
Many things like the kind of fuel, weather, exhaust etc have influence on it.

I think it is wise to start rich and slowly lean out until the engine performs good, has a nice sound, a nice smoketail and a good temperature.

On Youtube there are a lot of movies about adjusting engines, learn them...

Thanks for the great info! Although my question sounds like I'm a newbie, I'm not. I started racing nitro vehicles competitively in the late 80's into the mid nineties, and left to fly nitro helis until now. I have a good handle on tuning, but just wanted to know the stock settings for a good starting point.

Thanks again for any and all good info! Tom

Mkay.... sorry about that......

Normally if you know how to tune an engine then even a starting point is not needed

Hello RC Car world!

I own a few original Serpent Impact-2 cars, like-new condition. Both have original Mega SX-15 engines. Since the SX-15's are long out-of-production does anyone know if a NovaRossi TX-15 piston & sleeve will fit in the SX-15 crankase?
