Default Leaving Fuel In.

Can someone explain to me why you can't leave fuel in your fuel tank?

Cheers

You can keep fuel in the tank for 1 - 2 days, but if you keep too long the nitro content is gone and heavy content of oil is left. The fuel become no good; very hard to start, powerless and produce lot's of craps ( unburned oil )

Second reason, you don't want to leave some fuel inside the engine either because it's taboo ....... it's sanitary reason that keeps your engine last longer.

you should not keep fuel in your tank for any days. the tank should be empty after you are finished running the car.

the reason you should run the engine until dry is because the fuel is hygroscopic, that is it attracts the moisture that is in the air. this moisture can ruin the bearings and such.

best and safest thing to do is run the tank dry until the engine dies, then tip the tank open to dump any remaining residue. try starting the engine to make sure it has burnt all the fuel. if you are storing your engine then be sure to use after run oil as this will protect the internals.

He made his point, no fuel inside the tank after use is the best routine.
