Coming soon! We will start to export the engines this week.

BUT....The STS .28 engine already destroyed a SAVAGE in half hour last weekend here. All transmission be broken by this little devil...Rims stripped...screws pop out.......so you better be careful.....:D

au_Nightmare 01-24-2005 11:34 AM

Dino, is STS going to branch out and start making transmission upgrades?
I think I'll keep the .28 away from my buggy.. :sneaky:

To who wanna try this motor;

This engine has too much torque. It will destroy your Monster Truck in short term if your car is stock version. Wheelie become easy case don't need twin engines. Don't say I didn't tell you...

symptom:
Gear stripped;Transmission crashed;Rims stripped....etc.

It already happened in Taiwan. No kit can survive included SAVAGE;MTA4;LST....etc.

solution:
Set the max throttle to only 80% open.
Upgraded your Transmission.

By the way, this engine has supercharge. :batman:

dino.tw 02-06-2005 09:22 PM

Other Information

Break in with 0.6mm shims(stock);min 12% oil. If it is too tight open the plug a bit(1/2 lap) and tighten it after start.

After break in use 0.4mm shims with 25% nitro;#5 long body plug.
It work fine with STS 0403 buggy pipe.

Some kit need to find a engine mount. Be careful to use the pull-start system. You need to know the total length of the line before you start the engine. Do not over pull it out.

Have fun!

Hi new to the forum here. ive got an sts.28 waiting at the post office for me to pick up tomorrow. I will be installing it in my xtm mammoth with shortened chassis. any tips what pipes to use, what glow plugs this motor likes, would be very helpful, I currently have the sts.21 dragon motor in my mammoth and it hauls, then I saw this .28 and just had to have it. Also is there an online hobby store that carries parts for these motors. I have been getting the motors off ebay but I would like to be able to get parts if I need them.

thanks , Ryan

http://rc-mushroom.com is where I get my STS gear from. If its not listed contact them and ask if they would be so kind to order it in.

And yes STS hauls man ! :) :)

Dear Ryan,

Just use it as the same as your D21B. You only need to take care about the pull-start system. Before you start the engine, take out the plug and pull it several time for practice. You need to know the total length of the line before you start the engine. Do not over pull it out. Another important thing is take care your mammoth...:D

One guy's comment about the .28 here...
Open the throttle then the car just backward somersault! The 5th wheel become no use anymore!

It happen on his MAD FORCE with STS .28. And he said that only 1/2 throttle the front wheels will leave the ground. So it become very hard to drive and let him torment. Many users love it also hate it.

God Bless You,
Dino

I WANT THIS ENGINE...MADLY, DESPERATELY!!!!!! :flaming: :flaming:

HaulinBass 02-18-2005 02:16 PM

Is there a non pullstart version? my sh.28 only has a few gallons left on it(2 weeks) and I want more performance without going to one of the high dollar eb mods engines
