Next batch wont be available till after Winternats. I was very temped to snatch it up last night. But I think i'll wait to see how my locals like them. Serpent USA along with a few other lucky souls will be breaking them in today and testing at a track in Miami. Winternats will tell us the truth though.
Next and large batch of ZX12 (powerpack and engine only) will be arriving at the warehouse next Wed, and we will be able to ship on Thu. Tell your LHS to place their order.

Cool thanks Paolo, that's great news. I've been looking forward to meeting you. I've heard many kind things about you. I've known Art since I was a kid. I drive a Mugen at the moment, but still get ideas and such from Art and the other Serpent guys when they go to the Miami track. Good luck at Winternats.

Thanks, I'll tell him they are in. I don't know who he talks to but I know he left a message 3 days ago and hasn't heard back.

That's odd.. I call there all the time and talk to somebody.

Good luck at the WinterNats Paolo. I know you won't need it. I saw you at the state race.

Bro, you got yourself the new Mega engine to test already?

I believe they are the same as Picco .12 / .15 engines which is 12x21x5...

I just finished breaking mine in. I hoped to get it in the car this weekend but I'm headed over to the WinterNats tomorrow.

Guys I saw the motors on sale at www.rcxhobbies.com

These people are really cool and there are'nt that many left from what I saw.. I bought one from them and it runs awesome. The pipe and motor combo works great.. Easy to break in and runs like a modded motor out of the box. We will see how hard it runs when it is teaked. HEHE

Well I just finished installing the Mega ZX .12 in my 710 and I noticed a few things. Maybe someone could confirm this for me?

1. The crankshaft diameter is smaller than my NovaMega so I had to use the collet that came with the engine. I also did not use the .5mm washer between the engine and the flywheel. I did not feel good about using it due to the diameter difference. I have the clutch setup and it seems fine. I will know more tomorrow.

2. The engine/pipe sits further forward... quite a bit. My linkage needs some major adjusting as did the pipe bracket. I don't think it's a problem... it's just different.

Is this right or do I need to go to bed and look at it again tomorrow?

Thanks.

There is nothing wrong in what you describe. One other thing that may be obvious but anyway. Make sure you set your throttle end points so the carb does not go beyond where it is fully open.

I see Salven put his car in the A main. Was the ZX12 he was using pretty much stock or massaged for the big race?
