Were these the hot versions of both these plugs? And did you change the shims to suit 16% nitro?

plugs were cold versions... never played with head shimming and i ran 16% AT fuel.

i only ever really found that the motor was great for the price, it just lacked the top speed on bigger tracks like brendale (where it went pop <- my fault) and moorebank in sydney. but i was running the pipe that comes in the powerpack and never expirimented with this either.

Sounds pretty good!!! Engine is on the way with the 720. Border shipped it yesterday, should be here next week. Can't wait for it... I think that engine for that price is a pretty good choice. But for our country the bigger cooling head is a must (37*C outside at the moment), so I ordered that one as well. I think the Serpent guys have a couple of different cooling heads in their bags available, I had seen different ones in Kandelhardt's bag.

Can comment on the .12 DSII, but I think you can't really go wrong....

But mentioning the price, ever thought about the JP stock?, it's cheaper......

I had in mind that you were then writing your experience with the .21 engine as well, but I didn't pay attention at it today. Anyway, never mind.

I didn't think about the JP. I have been happy with the performance of the Mega and the Novarossi and as long as I am happy with a brand, I don't switch to a different one unless there really is a reason to do it so. And from what I see and learn, it is not only the engine but more the setup and pipe and tires and etc.

And last but not least, the word 'stock' isn't cool at all. Sounds like 'this is our slow engine'. I like to hear 'modified', PLUS, DSII... Just a joke but there is something to it. At least for me...

Ok...
If that does it for you, who am i to disagree.....

I rather go for a "stock" engine, and blow away those "modified" ones....

So now I go for the cheaper Mega engines, and indeed blow away in my class some of those "modified" ones....

Good luck with your choice....

stock it comes with 0.5, so I would go to 0.6 or 0.65
I ran 0.5 on 25%, but will try 0.6 on the next race, which is this weekend....
Unfortunatly it look like it going to be a wet race, and then I drive a different engine....

The jp stock is a cool engine, if you tune it right it's as fast as the modified.
With my stock i beat guys with masmo's en jp modified's, even on the straight.
Only the mega engine is faster.

Awesome.....thanks for the info, here is one more....what is the typical plugs that ppl commonly use on MEGA ZX-21...? #6 or #7 cause I would like to stock some of those........they are not the easiest to find so I want to make 1 order...(only like 3-5 plugs..LOL) I race around the MID WEST area in USA, and temperature is about 85-95 F....and use only 30% fuel...also, COLD? HOT? Conical...? Can someone sums it up and give me the mostly use 1 or 2 plugs so I can buy several of those at once...?

Like Nova Rossi base, I mainly stock 6 or 7TF plugs....what about MEGA..?

I've already know MEGA need to use the MEGA plugs, thats why I have to find out which one to buy....thanks guys.

Is that the hot or cold one though? Also, what percentage of nitro are you running?
