this was the body i raced with last year:

and this is the 1 for this year:
http://www.m7h.nl/m7h/950R_files/950-9.JPG

The only difference actually are the decals on it.....
Oh, and some damage offcourse.....
http://www.m7h.nl/m7h/Body_files/lola106.JPG

Well my own domain and webspace cost me about 35,- Euro's per year, so that's affordable........

About your friend, the 950R is still a good car, certainly to start with but if he wants to buy new, go for the 960 I would say, or MRX4-R which is also very good.......

Friend of mine told me that new batches of ZX12s come with a different carb. One that is plastic, but the part where is introduced into the crankcase is made out of another material. I believe this was done to equalize the expansion rate of the materials so that it didnt create air leaks.

Hey whats the difference between the ZX21 race and DSII? How can I make sure I get the DSII package (as it is different looking) instead of the race package?

I've already looked otherwise I wouldn't notice the pics are different. It doesn't list anything much for specs or differences. The only thing different is a part number so I guess I'll go by that.

The crank is very different, and also the conrod is different....
Also they used different materials, but that's about it....

The timing of the engine is different, so they still have the same amount of bottom power (which was very good) but also high rev's now......

$240 dollars compared to a $500-600 JP. It just depends on what you want. I run the Mega because that's what I can afford and it's been good so far. Yeah it's a little down on power but not enough for me to pay for a JP or Nova.

err m7h...when i ran my mega .21 Race (the one i got by winning the dutch serpent series) it din't have bottom power at all!!
you need to make a screamer off it to make it accelerate a bit...
if you want serious bottom power you should try a Nova based IDM!
(as far as you still get a new one...)
but yeah, a IDM or something similiar is more expensive....

(just my 2 cents)

Well, my Mega has bottom power enough........
Just a slightly less maybe than my MAX MF.....

But I agree that you need to set-up a good clutch.......

What ever, the DSII for what I have seen is a very nice engine.....
and still the "cheapest" out there.........
Maybe I will get one this Year, but I will probably run most races with my MAX MF, and my Mega for training on saturday........

Thumbs up MEGA ZX12

I tested the Mega ZX12 in my OFNA GPX-4 this past weekend and I was very impressed with the performance and the tuning. The motor had a huge amount of bottom end rip and the top end was very impressive. Give this motor a try.
