Riketsu:

If you divide it in 75cc every 5 minutes will be 1.24 galons. I will recheck the calculations , but pretty sure I did it correctly.

I'm thinking of one of these as my new engine, but NOT the expensive one for $360. Have them been updated with stronger parts and come with a spare or just come with a spare?

Har:

Which Engine are you looking for, the mega picco and the mega max are completly different engines. One is made by picco and the other one is made by novarossi for maxx engines. I have seen both of them, both are great, The mega maxx have more high end, but with the mega picco have great bottom for small tracks.

I have one mega picco with the palmaris conrod, the conrod have about 6 hours and looks great.

Yeah I think its the Mega picco...the one advertised with the pipe. I may need to get the palmaris pipe as well then.

Har:

you are talking about the Power Pack, it have teh engine and the mega pipe. What you need to buy later is the palmaris conrod. we have the power pack at about 280.00 but you should check your area hobby shops to see if they can give you a good deal on it.

Ahh I see. I like the engine as it's good on power and inexpensive. I'm not able to dish out $400-$600.

Are you recommending the palmaris conrod over the Mega?

Are you both talking about the same engine?....
HarkonnenD is talking .21 I think from his signature
and Edgar is talking .12......

or am I wrong....

The Mega ZX21 DSII is a very good engine from what I've seen from the tests at the MACH circuit in Holland, and they seem also to be quiet reliable......

Default A couple of quick questions...................

My ZX12 POWERPACK came with two rods, is the second rod the updated version or is it the same as the one in the engine?
If they are the same should I break-it-in with the one that came installed then change to the second one or can I just run-it for a gallon or two then switch?
What is the average life-span of the stock rods(I run them hard)?
Last but not least, is the Palmeris(sp?) rod a must have for this engine?

Jag:

Yes, I do, I have, I will check it again, I just arrived from Florida, I ran On Fort Myers so I have to see how it is now. But so far had good experince with it. The problem right now is to have it available.

M7H:

I think you are right. About DSII, I just saw sombody running it this weekend and it ran great, the person was veryyyyyy happy. I can say too much

Eric:

Most of the ZX12 right now in stock, they still have the first conrod that came with the engines. There many of this engines new is stock. It comes with the second generation that came out, which is a more stronger than teh original but weight more. You must follow the instructions, make breaking with the one installed, and then change it.

If that is the one for $349 or so I think then I'll get one that as my backup motor. That's a great price and it comes with EVERYTHING! So no conrod issue with these eh? Wonder how much is the price for a rebuild.

I'm running the Mega ZX .21 and so far it's great. I did most of the break-in in front of my house and finished on the track. It has very good power from bottom to top. Total of 1.5 gallons including break-in and I changed the rod as recommended and this thing is fast. I have a 321p and I'd flip a coin any day to see which one I'd run. It really wouldn't matter. Point is........ $480 bucks for a Novarossi or $289.00 for a motor/pipe/header that is pretty close in performance.
