i have been told that the PL set is the same. The only difference is the black case and ceramic bearing. If thats the case these could be the best cheap engine on the market

Cheers

That might not be true, if I am not mistaken, the modded on has some work on the sleeve, say transfer port and some work on the case itself.

I have it. Runs great. It's still $300 USD. It's got no HardBlack coating on the insides. The crank is pretty plain except for the silicone filling. There's no "fangs" on the sleeve. It may have the same timing though because it runs like hell. It has standard bearings, and the case is not black. I finally ran the hell out of it though after about 2 gallons. can't get it to idle well or run cool. Time for a new P/S set...heard they're not cheap The box said FX12 T03S

Do you still have compression when it is cold? and try to listen from the exhaust port and see if it has leak

I have a problem were my engine seems to be running well but every so often it just cuts out (ater 4-5mins or so) were do i start to look for the problem.

I have changed the glow plug and no change?

Iam using a nova rossi Hot plug with 16% synthetic fuel

i would also be great if someone could explain to me why its happening.

Very difficult to tell... How is the idle when you come in back to the pits after say 3 or 4 minutes running? A good engine would idle low and very steadily round after round.

I have a JP 12 FX T-O3 S engine, and it has no ceramic bearings, no black case, OR factory modified sleeve. I opened it up when it was new and it does not have the "fangs" on the sleeve that other JP's I've seen. That said, it doesn't have a problem staying right there with the modded engines in the club. It was $295.00 from the Mushroom.

Brett, you might try looking at you're red crankshaft filler, the stuff they put in there to smooth out the cut in the intake. I had mine come out, plugging the crank, but it didn't run again until it was removed. But it could be trying to come out.
