What is the actual head clearance you guys run on your .12 Torque engines ? I see in the engine pack a liner shim is included, do you use this shim at all?

What percentage fuel are you running.
For 16/20% .4 head clearance.

Cheers.

16% nitro. When you say .4 head clearance, do you mean .4mm actual head clearance or .4mm of head shims ?

I actually just replied to your post on the NT1 board but just in case you get to this one first. The only difference I can see in the podified version versus any other versions is possibly the crankshaft. I have attached the image of the podified one that is found on the team Pico Australia site first and then the second image is what the EDO EM X-type Pico crank shaft should look like.

There is a good chance that the team Australia site is using an old image of the crankshaft but you might want to discuss that with them directly. Hope this helps out!

Thanks OnRDPassion wasn't sure who would be watching which thread

Looks like they got the image from the main website http://teampicco.com/index.php/produ...-modified.html
The site says there are also the FACTORY TUNED versions, but it does not picture them or what they look like??

But the picture you posted also looks like the sonic one http://www.sonic-engines.com/index.php/products/v12rs

The Aussie listed "PODIFIED" version seems no different to the optional FACTORY TUNED version?? http://www.teampiccoaustralia.com.au...2-3-4-5-detail

The TEAM "World Championship Limited Edition" looks good from the Kevco site but saw it was a limited edition to 150 units globally.

So can we say a "Picco Torque .12 2013 EDO MOD X TYPE FACTORY TUNED" version will be better then the normal "Picco Torque .12 2013 EDO MOD X TYPE" but not as good as a "World Championship Limited Edition"?

K so the image they are using is from the 2012 edition of engines.

In regards to the World's edition engine those are only available for the .21 size engines.

Factory tuned I believe indicates that it is built by EDO himself.

Podifed Picco engines are a lot different to the Factory tuned or the EDO Mod.

The website will not show his work. Only show generic pictures.

What Podified does with the engines is a lot more than just crank flow and timing there is a lot more than you think.

Either Picco EDO or Podified version will do the job well.

Default Winter Nats 2014

Wow, what a week or should I say 9 days for most of us! This years Winter Nats is finally over. I want to Thank all of our PICCO participants for coming down and supporting the brand. Our power was fantastic throughout the week. In 1/8, GT, Masters and Sedan PICCO power clearly proved that it is on top of it's game. No one lacked power or Reliability to Win.

There was a state race that ran over the weekend with practice starting on Friday. Swauger and a few others came in early to break in engines and use the race to get somewhat of a set-up.
Edo arrived on Monday to prepare for Tuesday's practice. He tested a few new items with Swauger and Patrick (Shepherd Owner/Sonic Picco based engines) and helped anyone who asked.
Wednesday qualifying was the day to set TQ. Rain was imminent Wednesday night and traction was out the roof. Mike and Dario were separated thru out the qualifier by tenths, but Dario crashed with 1 or 2 laps to go leaving Mike an easy TQ. That run held throughout the rest of the event.
The "A" main proved to us that it Ain't over till it's over. Mike did a tire change while Dario went for no tire change. So with 6-7 mins left, Dario had a slight lead, but had run out of tires. Mike charged him twice and made mistakes trying to pass him both times. As Mike was charging the 3rd time, Dario made a mistake and had to be marshaled. This gave Mike a half of a lap lead with 3-4 minutes to go. Everyone knew the race was over, all except the racing Gods!! With just over a minute to go, Mike clipped a marker and broke his car, giving Dario the win.

Mike Strack took the TQ in Masters on that same day and it held throughout the rest of the event. The main was eventful, but we failed to get the top spot, but took 2nd and 3rd on the podium.

In sedan, Mike never completed a good run, but managed to get 6 on the grid. Our race day for the mains would not end so well, with Mike retiring early.

We only had one PICCO entry in the Spec GT class (5 Port) with David Larry. Even after stripping 2nd gear with over half the race to go, he was able to place 2nd. Our new 5 port continues to shine!

What are the major differences to the 2013 X-Type Edo? How does it compare on track?
