Hey guys i have a reds w7 wc. The engine mount holes doesn't align with the holes in the engine mounts. I can screw in the three screw but the 4th one doesn't screw in no matter what I do. I read in the rx8 thread that someone has thesame problem. Another guy replied that there's a procedure in doing the mod on this. Can someone point me where I can find the instruction. It's not in my manual.

On page 28 of the RX8 manual on the Xray web site it says about drilling the holes out on the engine.

Thanks. No need to drill holes for this. Just loosen the engine mount from the chassis line up the holes then re mesh.

Do you guys know if this engine can run more than 9min 30 sec.? we run 45 min. race here and would like to pit only 5 times instead of 6.

9:30 ????

Are you racing buggies?

In on road racing you can count yourself lucky if it makes 5:30

oggietiu 09-09-2013 07:08 AM

Hahaha. I am new to onroad so my time is okey. I thought my engine sucks! I was thinking buggy times also.

DDG 09-09-2013 09:41 PM

5:30 ???
you are joking, right?
Just got a modified M7T from Mantisworx and Its a screamer with wild mid. and it runs 9.15 to 9.35 on a Team C GT8 with a 9 restrictor.

You've got me confused. The M7T is an on road engine, so I didn't assume you'd run it in a GT car.

I'm not familiar with GT, but in 8th scale onroad any engine that makes 5 minutes is great.

He has, hasn't he Stefan.:lol:
We are using M7T in on road GT racing and getting between 9 to 10 minutes per 150mls tank.

If you used the same engine in a 1/8 pan car.....like you mentioned Stefan if we got 5 minutes we would be doing really well.

Hope this help clarify :D

Cheers Darren

I use both restrictors but the engine seems to work nicer with the 8mm for my applications. I can make 10 minutes with either though.
This is GT racing I'm talking about with 150ml tanks.

Hard side man, extra hard springs. We actually race with foam tires on our GT's here in Australia.
They are 100mm ATS champ foams, very very nice, you get great wear & grip.

Cheers Daz
