Ray told me that the .12's won't be available until December.

I talked to DOUG (sales manager of Serpent USA) at the trade show....21 wil be out first...(trying to be out around late December)
then the .12 will follow...late January...then small block 15, then small block 21-28 (for T-maxx chassis...)

Typical Serpent release date is +/- 1/2 to 1 month....

I thought the new engines and prices were going to be reasonable. They are pretty much the same in my opinion.

If you compare them with the top of the line novarossi, idm, max etc I think you'll find some interesting differences.

Even more so in the spare part prices...

Again, the price you saw above, that is what Serpent expect the dealer to setup at (ie, the MS 3 port turbo for $230).....when they are actually at the LHS, I am sure the price will be lower...(my guess, $205-215 range)

You are right, I agree with you, if MEGA are expecting to sell the 3 port turbo MS for $230....that is no different then any others like NS3 or V12 etc...same price.

But, 1 more important factor is.....the performance of this 3 port MS engine, if it is just around the corner like V12 or NS3, then we have plenty of choice....but if this engine is ABOVE the V12 or NS3 and more toward the edge of JP mod or Nova MAX engine...then $235 is a bargain.
Also, I don't think that is a good business if MEGA release these engine for like $150-180 range....we all know that, for that kind of a price, we can only get something like Sirio EVO 2 (US spec), some MR12/MT-12, some OS TR R-spec.....etc (these are all good engines)..........but when we are talking about something like ROAR legal turbo engine, I think $190-200 is a very minimum range to start with..........

Don't forget, a mugen X12 non turbo 3 port engine...starting around $275.....JP mod, $300 plus...Nova Max...good luck getting one.....

I have a strong feeling...the actual price will be a little lower, and the performance will be a little HIGHER....I am all in for the MEGA.

We just need someone to get it, try it and let us know....only time can tell.
