How tight are your NUTZ!
Ok so I am just getting back into R/C racing and are starting back with TC's. Does anyone know how tight the flywheel nut needs to be that binds the collet to the pilotshaft? Thanks in advance.

I am afraid this is the common reason I hear about when people say they're clutch went out during races. I've tightened my flywheel nut about a quarter of a full turn after it was hand tight but need to know if I need to retightened it before I run the engine for the first time, its a OS .12TZ 5 port.

You want to fasten the nut around 20N/m of torque.

I appreciate that, thank you.

another helpful hint is to make sure u have the proper collet at times it maybe a bit longer & will hit the flywheel & will not be properly tighten & cause gap/endplay issues |
Hmmm I just used the one that came with the kit and the upgraded aluminum flywheel that was also included in the kit.

Most of the time I use the kyosho collet vs what comes with the kit or the motor as it is always a bit long & using the shorter gets u closer to a better clearance from the flywheel to the engine

I always trim the collet with a dremel to get a good clearance.
