For XZR V2 crankcase:

- can be use with SPEED XZR 's p/s/c with normal XZR V2 and SPEED XZR crankshaft.

Correct? If you don't mind, why is it not recommended using SPEED XZR p/s/c in a XZR V2 case? My intention is to rebuild this engine (will be using it for practice engine), so I was thinking maybe I can use different p/s/c for it. The crankcase looks good, the crankshaft pin is around 14.95mm, only thing I have to replace is the bearings and p/s/c.

Thanks in advance for any reply.
You can't use the R2101 internals inside the XZ-R crank case the upper lip where the piston lip sits is a different size 3.0mm vs 2.6mm.. also the groove in the back plate of the XZ-R isn't deep enough for a R2101 piston which is 0.4mm longer than the XZR piston. They're quite different these engines in terms of parts fitting each other despite their similarities in design.

Hi all ....

I have a question I wonder if you could help me with.

I have been able to pick up one of these engine's in a very good deal.......

OS Engine 21XZ R VII on Road OSMG2042

My question is ....... What Exhaust and Manifold combination has been found to work well with these?

I have not been able to find any recommendations on the web at all?!

Any help you could give would be much appreciated!

Regards
BM

I used the T2080SC Tuned Silencer Set OSMG2042 before, goes great with the motor. The manifold is OSMG2716 that comes in the set. The Silencer is OSMG2984

Cool, glad I could help. Its a great motor, I never felt like it was missing anything in comparison to the R2101 (which I currently run). Easy to tune, has great mileage and power. I will be getting another should a deal come across.

Hey 1/8 IC Fan,

If your still thinking about one of these engine's, I would be quick!
They have been discontinued by OS. The company I was going to get mine from had sold the last one they had and I found the same thing at a couple of other place's too!

I did manage to get one eventually, along with an Exhaust kit as you suggested.
Just thought you'd like to know :-)

Well Merlin Depta comes onboard with OS! So much for Serpent wanting all drivers on Picco. Billy switched in Offroad to VS.

Try either the OS 2080 pipe set or the hypex pipe set with the short header. They both run great but i feel that the OS set up is the better of the two.

Could someone tell what the dimensions are of the backplate for an XZ-r?
Diameter of the round section that's fits into the case, and the depth it goes in would be a great help.
