Default Bottom coil of glow plug coils not glowing....

Hey,

I've noticed in my engine, that the bottom coil in the glowplug is going black very prematurely in the plugs life...And seems to make starting quite hard.

Recently I bought a BRAND NEW OS #8 plug and installed it, started it up, and everytime i removed the glo starter it would die, but i drove around slowly with the starter still on and it went fine...

So i put in an A3 and it was 100% fine...

It happens more rapidly with OS #8 than OS A3's

Anybody cluey on this?

Are both turbo or non-turbo plug?

Sounds like your low speed needle is set too rich. Try leaning it out about 1/2 turn and richen up the top end a little to help keep the engine temp down if you need to. You may also need to raise the idle speed if the carb is closing too much.

Well, it's an RTR hunk engine, and there isn't a Low speed needle, just high speed.

Idle speed seems ok, doesnt stall, doesnt engage clutch...

I have a new OS .12 CV on the way, so hopefully this engine will be more user friendly...
