Default Which would you choose?

1)Novarossi KANGAROO 21SYDWCS

or

2)Sirio S21CL7R-STI

Both unmodified.

Thanks in advance for any opinions/experiences with either of these two powerplants.

For me, Kangaroo hands down.

Sirio is a pretty good motor too, just requires a bit more attention.

I'd go the Kangaroo as well - one torquey MoFo!! Sirio is a good company, but Id still go the Nova.

Most power, 9886, short conical.

Nearly as much power, better mileage Sirio 2013.

Best IFMAR legal, 2015, short or med.

The sirio clr7 sti comes modded from sirio crankshaft, sleeve, and matched piston also with full ceramics. The kangroo will have more bottomend and will last longer. The sirio motor being it is aac wear out if overheated. But the sirio sti is by far a faster more it can run with if not beat most of the max and jp motors out of the box crazy topend. However the max, Murnan, and jp motors will last a lot longer. It's your choice? The sirio on a big track will pull on the kangroo on the backstraight and with a good clutch setup will accelerate just as hard ass the kangroo.

Hasn't been for years but if in the states, run it all you want.

2013 is also no longer IFMAR legal, but still ROAR legal.

Thats ok, I dont race 1/8....yet
I do know a few things such as pipes having to be 3-chambered pipes and such, but ask away on 1/10, not that I know it all.

Only outside the US, here you can still run the 2 chambers.

Hi guys.

Would the Novarossi Kangaroo (un-modified) be a good replacement for my old Mega ZX21 DS2 EM?

I have just re-built my 960 after two years collecting dust and may need to replace the engine sometime this year. I bash on a medium size track but am not a competitive racer (yet)!

I welcome your views and would also ask what pipe/manifold you would use. My track is link below.

Regards

The Nova Kangaroo is the base model for the Flash 21, the 359? and other engines - they are based from the Kangaroo originally.
It is a fantastic engine, even for it's price, so you definitely can't go wrong with it, especially if you are the type of racer you say you are.
