Angry Replacing needle O-rings is a pain!!!

Have been putting some new o-rings on a few carbies for some sirio motors, genuine o-rings and all but they have been a real pain in the butt!

I tried lubing them first, rolling them in my finger tips to try and make them more pliable and even tried stretching them on with circlip pliers and parts of an old ballpoint pen!

Has anyone else tackled this painfull task with success and care to share their experiences...... or are they a pain for you too???
