Car Restrictors

Hi

It seems all engines come with the 5.4mm carb restricotr. Has anybody tried another size? What if you drill it out to 6.5mm or even take it out all together.

Is there any benefits?

Cheers

for what engine? I think if you take the restrictor out you will have 5.5 mm on a Novarossi .12 (which I believe is the legal limit)

Bigger carburettor caliber has benefit at top-end. But more air flow means more fuel needed.

NSR12S5

More airflow = More Fuel = More speed

(and more heat!)
