Any of the top engines:

1) Nova Flash
2) Nova 353
3) Capricorn LAB E01 (BC or Normal)
4) MAX XXL3 WC Ed
5) RB T10 RC
6) Murnan M3

Will be enough for you. It will all depend on how much you want to spend.

I have seen the Capricorn engines priced alot lower than the rest of the field. I would suggest getting a Capricorn Lab E01 Normal or a Nova 353 S/09.

If your pocket is that deep, a XXL3 WC ed or a Murnan M3 might be better.

Just because you have a fast engine, it does not mean your going to be fast. I have seen many Murnan M3 in the hands of inexperienced people and are slower than OS TZs. Just keep in mind that.

If you don't want to break the bank I would get the nova +12sct it has plenty of power for a stock motor and the price is also good. $279.00 small to mid size track it's all you need alone with the 353 or rb t10. I have always like the powerband of the rb. 12 motors compared to the novarossi .12. Focus on car setup and clutch setup they are more important in determing car performance. the sirio motors are also very fast and cheap but they are not as reliable as the nova based motors. I know the sirio clr7 .21 is as fast as any .21 on the market.

The motor that has it all is the 1 you can afford
I been out of the sedan scene for a while running 1/8th
during the sedan worlds there were a lot of fast drivers and after watching this is what I would buy no certain order either 1 of the 3
Max XXL3 Tuned
Flash Tuned
Murnan M3

All engines can be fast, it just depends on how your setup is. Hell, I can tell you I had a Picco JLR Red Dot in a RRR Evo 2, and I was beaten by an RTR Team Magic G4 with a Dynamite engine that cost something like $80!!
Ill tell you, I've never been to that track - only once before - and the guy used to be president of the club there, but that just goes to show you don't need a Flash 12 to be fast, majority of speed comes from the right setup. Once your car limits how fast you go, then you think about upgrading to a World Class engine.

Came 5th overall - the engine was losing power halfway through races (just worn out I guess), and I kept chunking the rear tires. All I really needed was harder wheels (ended up doing well on 42s) and HEAPS of camber (something like 5-6 degrees!) 5th, but that means that there was 4 others I beat There was one time I cam second, but that doesn't really mean much.

How about this, since with a lot of this stuff you have to come up with a realistic outline of what your willing to spend. Example the XXL3 that I ran last season can be had new now for about 399 and it hauls the mail. VS latest WC edition with different timing etc and more power is 530, balanced, drilled lightened and all happy. But if your not going to be willing to throw down the extra 100 for a small gain. Then there is no shame in rocking last years stuff that's on sale. If your looking for a good engine the nova +12 cts or whatever is good and doesn't break the bank. If all the guys your running with are running OS 12's that's more than enough to pull off the slide job.

Cheers
