Novarossi pipe - which one?

Hi there

I have a new Max .21 TQ 9 and was wondering what novarossi pipe to use best?

I am deciding between 2015 or 2052 - and was wondering what the difference between them is?

Thanks

I personally hate the 2052. It just doesn't have any ass if you know what I mean. :D

You should try the Max pipes for that engine. They are the 2018 pipe or the new 2036 pipe.

Depending on the specs and used manifold the 2015 is a bit mild and has a better runtime. The 2052 does give more top end and on some engines a better bottom power.

The JP 2031 is also a awesome pipe and if runtime is an issue you have to go with the Sirio 2013 (if allowed)

Many thanks for all the advice :)

Yes, they were a great pipe but now illegal at sanctioned races.

They are 2 chamber pipes, not 3 chamber which means they are noiser.

The Sirio 2013 pipe was banned by EFRA because it's by far the loudest pipe out there.

Many tracks here have problems with neighbours who are bothered by the noise of our cars and that's why we have to be VERY sensitive about this.

Hence the INS boxes...

True but I can tell you that if we even make 75dB noise per car the neighbours are still complaining keeping tracks in their grip. It is noise outside normal noise and on a higher frequency making it more anoying.
I am convinced some organisations do use the noise as an issue as a steady income through the homologation proces.

I wonder if EFRA will finally retire 2007spec pipe for noise problem. AGM is coming in a month time, we will see if we have some new "quiter" pipe from major manufacture.

On www.efra.ws the proposals can be read, I believe the new pipes do not come but as a step they want to go back to the non conical manifolds.
