good stuff man! and remember dont use nova plugs you could get a possible air leak or damage your turbo button!
but have you also thought about a bigger head? those stock os tr heads are ugly and small!!! i got myself a carlson 11 fin head works and looks a treat :) also theres the kawahara head for it as well. OS hyper heads are expensive so stay away from them. |

I strictly use Novarossi plugs in my motor. I've never had a problem. I think people are just using the wrong heat range. I almost always use a 7F which is the 3rd coldest Novarossi plug.

hi guys....i am in a bit of a problem:(
when i was using the novarossi engine i did add a thin shim between the engine and cone for the flywheel...everything was fine. but for this tr when i do the same setup the amount of play for the thrust bearing is very, very minimal. so my questions is whether adding the shim between the cone and the engine is a must? just to be sure, thanks |

I almost always use a 7F which is the 3rd coldest Novarossi plug. now with the shimming aspect i believe its not a must. it only needs to be used when you can not see any space between the fly wheel and the front crankcase. Shimming is only needed to bring the flywheel out abit so it wont rub against the front bearing of the engine. it think thats its purpose. |

Anyone have a baseline needle settings? I need something to follow to make sure mine is somewhere in the ball park.
|
I bought a nocer heads for the trs on my ad2 & xxx-nt,they lowered the temps 40 degrees(240-245)to(180-200).Only thing is you need a millingmachine to take 20 thousanths off of the head so it wont touch the crankcase.
