Wasp carb restrictor/venturi?

I have a .26 wasp in my savage. I was wondering what are the results of removing the restrictor/venturi from the carb? Or should I just leave well enough alone?
Thanks

removing the restrictor will add power to the engine by allowing more air in. But that being said, the power will not be as controllable as with the restrictor in. My opinion, leave it in. That engine rocks for MTs

in my knowledge the venturi kind of funnels the air into the carb so yes it is more reliable. But taking it out might allow more air into the carb.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. What you guys are saying is what I was thinking too. I think I'm going to try taking it out:cool:
Is there a such thing as TOO much power? Some may argue yes, but if I can control it ...........why not?
