X12 Rody...Air Filter won't fit ?

Hi guys,

I bought an X12 Rody and what was my surprise to see that my thrusty MotorSaver air filter won't fit since the air Intake is too big on the motor.:weird:

Is there different size of air filters? I am a little confuse... Any recommendation on a new one? I am use to MotorSaver, wish I could find one that fit.

You need the .21 size motor saver for Novarossi based engines

Hey and about the carb air intake. I saw that there is a plastic filling inside the air intake (writen 5.4 on it) that you can remove. I presume that if I remove the filling, that leave the air intake wide open for more power.

But what are the ROAR rules for air intake opening?

As far as roar goes you have to run a 5.4 restrictor. Also don't remove the restrictor completely. You can buy bigger restrictors. If you pull out completely the motor probably won't run the well.
the air filter RB and Racers edge both make big carb air filters for the 12s you can get them from my hobby shop

hope that helps
