It raises the timings of the intake and exhaust ports so yes, more performance. Capricorn does sell these ready to fit shims.

Does it take a lot from the bottom end?
#1128

Yes, you have to keep the button head on the same height so you must take away the same amount of headshims.
No, you will not loose bottom power that much (maybe even not noticeable), one shim of 0.1 or 0.2mm can make a difference in feeling in the top range. It is easy to give it a try and to go back.

I am not agree with that. I dont know why you have to take off the same amount of headshims. Please, could you explain it to me?

[QUOTE=ngracing;11901283]if you won't than the combustion chamber will get bigger which will result in less combustion power. Keep in mind that piston isnt going any higher its just the sleeve so you need to compensate.
#1136

You will raise the sleeve and with that also the button head while (as mentioned) the piston does not change in height. The offset on the sleeve has to be corrected on the button head by taking away the same amount of shims.

Ok, now I understand everything. I will test it, we are talking about 0,1 or 0,2 mm, right?

how can I measure the combustion chamber? I have to put the piston in the highest position, but the piston is not smooth. Which is the right point to do it?

since were on my favorite subject who knows the difference between the R9s and jp 35 more torque or more rpm
