Default recommend a glowplug for JP Modified Mugen X-12

I have a JP Racing Modified Mugen X-12 (old engine but still perfect shape) and I need to get a few glowplugs. I had been using a Novarossi C6S plug which I understand is a cold plug. I'm running 20% nitro and according to Novarossi's information and the local shop I don't necessarily need a cold plug if I am running less than 25% nitro is this correct? It was recommended I look into a medium or standard plug instead, but I don't know what plugs are good for this particular engine or if one particular brand will last longer.

Any help?

6 is good for that engine and is really more of a medium plug. 7 and 8 are cold, 5 is hot. 6 should do the job for most all condition, maybe a 5 for tight tracks and cold weather or a 7 for really long straights.

The problem is, locally I cannot get Novarossi plugs. They have RB, OS and a few others I cannot name off the top of my head. So I need an alternative to the Novarossi branded plug. I want to buy locally so I can get them as I need them and don't have to wait for shipping.

You can buy OS P7, its a good plug.

The RB's are made by Nova so go with an RB 6. Also, ODonnel plugs are good for the money. 99T is good but might be a touch cold for a .12. I think OD 97T is the next hotter one. I do not recommend OS plugs in Nova motors. They will work but not as well as others.

remember that RB plugs are different to Nova in there number rating. i think a 7nova is a 6rb so a 6rb is cold 5rc is medium and a 4rc is hot or something like that

No, just RB's act a little colder than a Nova. An RB 6 would be like a Nova 6.5. Sort of between a 6 and 7.
