Novararossi OR Xceed INS box 8th scale???

Hey Guys,

Currently i am running a Xceed INS box, but i feel it gets out of tune at best of times has anyone else had inconsitancy with this product, or should i go towards the Novarossi INS and have happy days?

What is everyone else using currently?

I just bought the Xceed INS Box too...
A friend of mine is using Xceed in his Motonica and has no issues with that...

Getting out of tune does not look like it is the box. If it is the box related then the only thing I can imagine is the used oil for the filter.

Another thing which influences tuning is the orientation of the air intakes of the INS box.
When they're positioned towards the front of the car you will create a RAM-air effect in the straights, thus leaning the engine.
In touring we all position the intakes towards the rear.
I don't know if this is a common thing to do in 1/8 as well but I think the effect will be even worse on a 1/8 because the intake is out in the open, in clean air.

I am using the red Tornado afterrun also as airfilter oil and I have not seen any issues. But yes, it could be, clean out the filter and use another oil to give it a try.

Because Tornado after run is a very thin oil, I don't think it is really suitable to be used as an air filter oil.
In due time, this oil will "vaporise", and stop protecting your engine....
The thick air filter oil will not, that's why you should use that....
Because we also run an INS-box, I even never clean my air filter, but just replace it after 3 race weekends.....
