Hey guys I've got a Z18R in my NTC3 and stumbled accross some issues on the weekend, with stock settings motor won't idle, lots of big bubbles in fuel line which is new, tank has been given the underwater pressure test and is ok, if I blow into the hose from the pipe hardly any fuel goes to the carb and it's really hard to blow, if I remove the hose from the carb and blow lots of fuel comes out, im thinking there must be a blockage in the carb??
If it does start I need to keep it at half throttle otherwise it dies.

You best pull down engine, remove carby, inspect needles, check o-rings, check fuel flow, then rebuild.

How long do these motor last?

I run this same engine in my Kyosho GT2 car and I am very pleased with the performance. I ran a RB .21 C5 Rody in the car for a while but went back to the LRP because it turned faster lap times and was easier to drive because of the torque off of the corner.

I tried both 20% and 30% Byrons and there was virtually no difference in lap times so I went the 20% route. The engine is now almost 2 seasons old and still running strong.
